This is Important!

We need a big turnout for this - even if you only attend the photoshoot!

We will be meeting around 6.30pm for a photo opportunity before moving to the public gallery with banners to hold a peaceful protest during the Council debate which starts at 7pm.

Assuming the Local Plan is accepted by the Council, we will move into a 6 week public consultation stage, but the council will not consider any further objections. It now gets complicated. Objections will instead be considered by the Planning Inspectorate at a later time and they will only consider objections raised during the consultancy. Further, ge

neral objections will not even be considered, they must be fully evidence based and comply with a specific format. SOGS-SG intend to provide further updates once we fully understand the process.

Anyone is able to address the Council and talk for up to 5 minutes but in order to do so you must inform Democratic Services no later than noon the day before. You may also make written submissions. Full details can be found here.

For now please attend the Photo shoot and make your feelings known even if you don't attend the meeting itself!

The land earmarked is opposite Meadow View at Shortwood Road.

The plans include building hardstanding, siting two mobile homes and two touring caravans, building a pair of day rooms and a stable block, as well as putting in a new access.

The planning reference is P24/02055/F and anyone wishing to comment has until the end of the month.
